Late yesterday (June 23, 2009) in an announcement that was rather discreet, Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Communities the Hon. John Baird removed the March 31, 2011 deadline to complete projects funded by the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund. According to sources in the Minister's Office the objective to complete work on projects funded by the ISF is still March 31 2011 however the clawback provision of the program for unfinished work has been eliminated. Apparently this change in policy resulted from conversations Baird had with FCM executive at their recent AGM in BC
